Regulatory Services

The Regulatory Services Division of the Department of Insurance is responsible for licensing insurance companies and ensuring that the licensed companies remain solvent and compliant with all the requirements of Georgia laws and regulations.

This Division receives and reviews license applications from insurers and other entities and makes recommendations to the Commissioner as to whether the applicant satisfies the necessary requirements.

Additionally, any changes to a company's Certificate of Authority such as an addition or deletion of a class of business, name change, etc. is performed in the Regulatory Services Division.

Effective August 30, 2010, the Office of Insurance and Safety Fire, Regulatory Services Division, changed the address for mailing in filings with payments. The new payment mailing address is:
