As of January 1, 2008, the following changes were implemented in the Georgia Fire Incident Reporting System:

  1. Basic Module, Incident type 100, Fire, other, will require the completion of the fire module.  If the fire module is not completed, a critical error will be generated.
  2. The code "87" (Investigate fire out on arrival) has been added to Action Taken codes.
  3. If Incident Type 112 (fires in structures other than in a building) is selected as incident type on the Basic Module, the Structure type field entry on the Structure Fire module cannot be 1 enclosed building or 2 fixed portable or mobile structure.  Using either one of the codes will result in critical error.
  4. Using Property Use code 464 Barracks, dormitory, will require that the Mixed Use Property field be completed.  Leaving this field blank will result in a critical error.
  5. A critical error will occur for any age in any module that is negative.

  7. Arrival time of 20 minutes or more after the alarm time will generate a warning error.
